The two models of Apple remotes shown on the left can be used to restart our Apple TVs, even though they are locked into conference room mode. Assuming the battery in the remote is good, point the remote at an Apple TV and hold down both the Menu and down-arrow buttons until the status light on the Apple TV starts to blink rapidly.
