Using Low Power Mode on an iPad can have the following undesirable effects:
-Makes the iPad unusable after exiting the NWEA state testing app
-Creates problems when using apps like Math 180 and Lexia PowerUp
-Sets the screen's auto-lock to 30 seconds
-Disables email fetching
-Disables background app refreshing
-Disables automatic downloads
-Disables some visual effects
-Syncing of iCloud Photos is temporarily paused

If the battery icon on your iPad is yellow, then your iPad is in Low Power Mode.

How do you turn off Low Power Mode? Open the Settings app, tap Battery on the left side, and toggle the Low Power Mode slider to the Off (grey) position.
